About Life Groups

What is a Life Group?

Life Groups are closed small groups that meet weekly or bi-weekly in someone's home for building relationships, biblical discussion, and prayer.  They are for adults of all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity, and they are generally organized by age and geographical location.

Why are groups closed?

A closed group is a group comprised of the same people who meet consistently over a period of time.  Since people are encouraged not to group-hop, this allows the group to go beyond surface relationships to develop intimate relationships with other believers.

Why should someone be a part of a Life Group?

Life Groups allow believers to grow closer to one another.  By developing friendships with others at JRA, group members will begin to strengthen each other's relationship with God.  Hence, participating in Life Groups not only unites people together but also fosters spiritual growth.
